What is RSS?
RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format which delivers regularly updated web content directly to your browser, email account, desktop or mobile device. It is used for example by news websites, which provide you with the latest headlines and a short summary of new articles which can be accessed from your browser or email, with just one click. Many websites indicate that they have an RSS feed with the above symbol.
Why use RSS?
RSS saves you time on the internet by bringing news to you instead of you having to spend time searching for it on different websites. It lets you keep up to date with news more easily and effectively.
How do I use RSS feeds?
Firstly you will need to download a feed reader which is very easy and free. This can be done using a number of different websites. For example: Blog lines: www.bloglines.com; Feedreader: www.feedreader.com; Google Reader : www.google.com.reader ; Newsgator: www.newsgator.com (which allows you to read the news from within Microsoft Outlook).
