Objectives

IBB 2 is the continuation of the successful »  EU project, IBB. From 2003 to 2006, an inclusive training model was developed in order to train people with disabilities to become disability care workers. With this training model, people with disabilities for the first time ever were able to participate in a vocational training in the social sector.

Outputs

During the project, the partnership will:

  • Develop a mentoring model in order to pave the way for the fully trained social care worker to the open labour market
  • Compile a course concept for mentors to help them in their work with people with disabilities, employers, and colleagues
  • Develop course material
  • Create jobs in the social and disability sectors as well as creating sustainable labour market opportunities
  • Formulate guidelines for the implementation of the mentoring model in each partner country
