Objectives

The project aimed to:

• Identify how intellectual disability is reflected in mainstreaming policies in each project country
• Find out how people with intellectual disabilities, family members professionals and policy-makers understand and view the impact of these policies
• Make proposals advancing the mainstreaming agenda at national and European levels.

Results

The partnership:

• conducted a survey on national mainstreaming and non-discrimination policies
• produce a resource pack, with information that can be used to raise awareness and share good-practice
• produced national and European mainstreaming guidelines to further empower people with learning disabilities
• Developed a website available in the five project languages
