The overall goal of the FEPID project was to make general adult education accessible for all including for people with intellectual disabilities.
To reach this ambitious objective, the ten project partners who are adult education providers, decided to focus on workshops for people with intellectual disabilities exclusively in an artistic context and organized art workshops on painting, drawing, sculpture, music and handcraft.
As part of the project, the participants had the opportunity to exchange valuable experiences, learn about other European countries, participate in discussions and do a lot of practical work. Project partners collected thus good practice examples, “know-how” and combined them in a handbook to encourage other adult education providers to organize art workshops for people with intellectual disabilities.
