Be the star in Mencap's advertising campagn
 |
Mencap is an English organisation which supports the rights of people with intellectual disabilities.
They now do a competition.
People with intellectual disabilities in England can take part by sending a goal that they want to make true in the new year by 2 December 2011.
Then Mencap will help the winners of the competition to make their goals come true.
The winners will also take part in the new campaign that Mencap will do to make people know about its activities, both through the radio and printed material.
You can send an e-mail, photo or short film talking about your goal to:

Preparing its new advertising campaign for 2012, Mencap encourages people with intellectual disabilities who live in the UK, to share their new year’s resolutions and get a chance to become the stars of this campaign.

In 2011, Allan was hoping to go scuba diving. Rachel to start college. Dipam to learn how to cook. These are only few of the thousands of people with intellectual disabilities who participated in Mencap’s last competition and they saw their goals come true. It doesn’t matter how small or big someone’s goal for 2011 is. Mencap wants to hear from people with disabilities and help them to achieve these goals.
The competition is aiming at helping people with intellectual disabilities make positive changes in their lives. The winners of the competition will not only see their goals come true; they will also be the protagonists of Mencap’s next advertising campaign for its services, which is entitled “New Year, new me”.
Until the 2nd December, people with intellectual disabilities from the UK, who are interested in participating in the competition and claim a role to Mencap’s next print and radio adverts, can send an e-mail, photo or short film describing what they would like to achieve in 2012 to:
