The conference will launch the final results of the project collected in different European countries on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child with a focus on children with intellectual disabilities. These children often find themselves subject to discrimination and exclusion from society. They are frequently denied the right to good quality education, healthcare, recreation and services. Raising awareness on their individual needs is one of Inclusion Europe’s current priorities.
Our intention is to show a selection of short video presentations during the conference focusing on the personal story of a child with an intellectual disability or analysing specific topics such as access to education, healthcare, de-institutionalisation, support to families and abuse. Your contribution would be greatly appreciated, the deadline for sending the videos is 9 September. You can upload them online through a video sharing site and send us the link to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
